The Commonsensical Way supports and endorses the Love and Logic workshop curriculum and uses those applications and theories to enhance your ultimate results.
After attending the University of Northern Colorado School of Nursing, Shawna spent 14+ years practicing in the Emergency Room and Pediatrics. During her years in Pediatrics, Shawna gained compassion for those struggling with parenting issues and familial conflicts. With a natural affinity for the toddler and adolescent years, parental coaching became a natural fit. She took several years away from the field to raise her family the Love & Logic Way. Being a Type A personality and a recovering perfectionist, starting up The Commonsensical Way seemed a very natural next step. Shawna has been known to say that because of her love and natural aptitude for what she does, she doesn’t “work” a single day in her life. The highlight of her day is making every person she works with feel heard, hopeful, at ease, and understood.
The Commonsensical Way is a "no drama", no nonsense approach to improving relationships and life's challenges. Commonsensical Parenting was born from over 35 years in Pediatrics and being witness to the predominant frustration, conflict and discord in most parent-child relationships.
